How do you stand out as a realtor when there are hundreds and thousands of realtors out there you could be competing against?
A lot of realtors are concerned about being just “another realtor” in a huge pool of REALTORS. It is OK to be concerned because the fight is real. The competition is fierce.
Which takes us back to the question–How do you stand out as a realtor?
I am going to share with you a few tips on how you can stand out and be distinct from every other realtor out there…
The first thing you need to know is that Buyers and Sellers want to work with someone they can trust to solve their pain/frustration or whatever it is that is keeping them up at night.
And social media has made it easy for potential buyers and sellers to find real estate agents.
Showing up on social media can help you build exposure, reputation, loyalty, it can also help you stand out.
But to gain an advantage over your competitors, your content must address their needs. You have to give them something that is of benefit right now in their time of need. If you can help them solve their pain or frustration, you will be the go-to person for their real estate needs.
Here’s how:
Be Helpful
Do not just showcase listings or open houses.
Provide helpful information to your audience– information about whatever it is that is keeping them up at night.
This proves to them that you’re not just another realtor but an expert.
By doing this, you become the trusted, leading agent for their real estate needs.
Be Responsive to the Comments
The comment session is a great place to know your followers and engage with them.
The worst thing to do is to broadcast but not engage with those interested in following you.
A simple “thank you for commenting” can go a long way towards winning the hearts and minds of your followers.
Sounds simple, but not many agents do this.
Be Consistent
This is such a great way to stand out.
Consistently post across your social media channels. Let them get used to seeing you.
And do not feel like you’re doing too much. Remember out of sight, out of mind.
By being present, your ideal clients begin to see you as reliable, trustworthy, and dependable.
Use Tools
Social media is a visual platform. While it’s used to convey your message, the images used are as important as the message they carry.
Take time to find relevant images and infographics that are useful to your audience.
The longer you can keep the attention of a viewer, the more likely they’ll engage with your content.
Standing out as an agent is not difficult. You only need to do the things that others wouldn’t do to make yourself unique.
And with the right tools, you can be sure to stand out regardless of how the competition seems.
